You can access local debt and money help via Citizens Advice in England, Wales or Cymraeg, and Northern Ireland.
There are three main credit reference agencies in the UK. The content of the reports that they each provide may differ.

Debt advisers and debt management plan providers must be authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
If you have a complaint about an FCA regulated debt adviser or debt management plan provider you should initially notify the firm itself.
If this complaint isn’t resolved to your satisfaction you can then escalate it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Insolvency practitioners handle IVA cases and may provide advice about Bankruptcy and Debt Relief Orders.
You should initially inform your insolvency practitioner if you have a complaint about their services.
If this complaint isn’t resolved to your satisfaction you can then escalate it to your trustee’s professional regulatory body. Complaints can be submitted via the Insolvency Practitioner Complaints Gateway.
